Welcome to the YGTS! Wiki. We're looking to become a database and source of information for all sorts of old and new retro FPS and Boomer Shooters. At the moment, we're listing games by year, which can be founf to the left side on the Navigation sidebar.

For sources of articles, see: Attribution. Please feel free to add more by year, which makes it easy for folks to find games. Grouping by year made the most sense.

Please use the proper namespace formatting when making a new page, and add the correct year tag at the minimum to an entry at the bottom when it's created.

The correct namespace format is: 'games:<year>_games:<game name>' For example: 'games:1992_games:wolfenstein_3d'. You can add a tag at the bottom of pages using the 'tag' tool in the toolbar when editing a page. Please enter the year at the minimum, for example: {{tag>1992}}. You can add multiple tags like the following: {{tag>1992 MS-DOS id_software}}.

When making a new year, please create a page 'start' in the namespace, and copy over the code from one of the other year mainpages, and edit it for that year. This is appreciated immensly, as this will autopropogate all the required menu places. The start page is a simple template. You can view our templates here.

You can add an avatar to your account by uploading a PNG file named after your account to the 'user' root namespace. For example, 'lemonaid.png' Would give the user 'lemonaid' an avatar when uploaded to the user root namespace. Otherwise, a default Gravtar will be used for your account.

Please keep pages on Boomer Shooters and Retro-FPS games only. Try to avoid reviews or personal opinions on the game if possible- basically, do not editorialize, Information added should be factual whenever possible. Avoid vandalizing pages. Please revert pages to the last legible revision if you find vandalism. It's appreciated. You MAY leave game reviews and opinions in the discussion section of a page however, just not in a page edit proper.
