• Fixed a crash when picking up Munition boons on saves created before the DLC patch
• Fixed a collision issue softlocking players in the last purge of the level Dread Ascent
• Fixed an issue where the last purge of the level Dread Ascent would rarely not finish because of enemies being unavailable to kill
• Fixed an issue where lights on secret skulls would be hard to spot with the Bloom option turned off
• Fixed an issue where the weapon wheel on controllers would block the player’s view
• Fixed an issue with the Multi-Melta making it possible to have infinite ammo
• Fixed an issue where starting grenades would not be granted at the start of a level with the accessibility option “Give all weapons” turned on

Patch Notes – What’s new in the latest update?

We’ve released a brand new patch alongside the new DLC Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Forges Of Corruption Expansion, so read on below to see what we’ve added. We are excited that we were able to add 2 highly requested features from players – Horde Mode and a Navigation Guide!

• 💀HORDE MODE: We’ve added a free Horde Mode for all players. How long can you survive against the onslaught of heretics and daemons?
• 🧭NAVIGATION GUIDE: Even the Emperor’s finest sometimes get lost. We’ve added a new Navigation Guide that, when activated, shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
  The guide appears for a few seconds by default, but can be toggled to always display by enabling Options > Gameplay > Toggle Navigation Guide. By default the Navigation Guide is bound to N on PC, Back on Xbox, the Touchpad on PlayStation, and to – on Nintendo Switch.
• 🏆NEW ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES: Horde Mode comes with three new Achievements/Trophies to unlock
• 🐛BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS: We’ve fixed numerous issues and made quality of life improvements – see full notes below

• Added a new Navigation Guide. This shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
• Added a new Option in Accessibility for “Chainsword Cutting Mode”. This can now be set to the following:
  1. Repeated Tap: repeatedly press the input to maintain cutting mode (default setting)
  2. Hold Input: hold down the input to maintain cutting mode
  3. No Input (Automatic): no input is needed to maintain cutting mode (after initiating the chainsword lunge)
• To celebrate our new Forges of Corruption DLC, we’ve added a new main menu background.

We have very exciting news for you today! The new DLC of Warhammer 40000: Boltgun is out now, including a new campaign made of 5 levels, featuring new environments, enemies and weapons! Play as your favorite Ultramarine and go on a rampage through this new content, inspired by the lore of Warhammer: 40000! Load your Missile Launcher, plunge headfirst onto the Graia Battlefields, slay the Helbrute and many more! 💥

On top of that, a new Horde Mode makes his arrival free of charge for everyone, in the latest update of the game! The long-awaited Horde Mode comes with 4 difficulty levels and its own achievements! The update also features a guide to help players go through the levels, as well as numerous bug fixes and other improvements.🔥

A brand-new patch is live now, fixing major bugs and making your purge more explosive! 💥

Here’s what we worked on:

• Steam deck

The cutscenes now play on Steam deck, making the game completely playable on the Steam deck

• Accessibility

New cheat available : Unlock all weapons
New cheat available : Infinite ammo

• QOL

Damage indicators are now stronger, and even more for high damage attacks
Added a toggle to deactivate the red “PURGE” filter
Reduced the opacity of the red “PURGE” filter
Lord of Change’s Pink Fire ability deals less damage
The plasma gun inflicts less damage to the player when overcharging (praise the Omnissiah)
Added additional loading hints
Added an option to deactivate the slow motion triggered by the chainsword
Added an option to deactivate the freeze frames caused by the dash
Now displaying level stats (kill percentage, timer, secret discovery) in the pause menu
Ultrawide support : cutscenes are now properly displayed instead of being stretched
Allowed rebinding of the P key
FPS are now capped in loading screens
Added an option to disable the parallax effect for the Warp rifts
Servo skull lines are now easier to read : they stay displayed for longer instead of “typing” slower
Added an option for higher text contrast
Reduced explosive barrels damage to the player
Negative mouse acceleration has been disabled
Plasma gun cultists don’t track you through walls anymore

• Bug fixing

Fixed a bug causing the player to get a “pistol start” (ie losing your weapons) when using the “restart” button after dying
Fixed a bug causing the controller inputs to still be active after switching back to KB&M
Fixed the sound playing in VR headsets when the game is launch with a headset plugged in
Fixed a bug where Chaos Marines would play their “alert” animation in a loop instead of fighting the player
Fixed translation issues in Czech
Fixed a bug that made the servo skull only scan health pickups : he will now point at more various things, including doors
The Aspiring Champions no longer try to shoot you at point blank range
Fixed an a bug where obtaining the Vortex grenade in C3M1 caused a crash
Fixed the sound of teleporting portals sometimes not playing correctly
Fixed issue with level loading hitch when loading an autosave from a different level
Fixed a bug where bile projectile would stack on top of each other

The excitement of firing a big gun at a squishy, gibbable target is one of the most enduring experiences in gaming. The resurgent popularity of the “boomer shooter” is proof of the simple joy of reducing your enemies to mulch with overwhelming firepower.

In the grim dark future of the Warhammer 40,000 universe some of the mightiest tools of destruction in the galaxy are brought to bear in epic battles. For Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun we’ve recreated some of the fiercest weapons from these battlefields and dropped them into your hands as a player.

Here’s a rundown of just some of the armaments you’ll use to hack, shoot and crush your way through your enemies.

The Sternguard’s constant companion. The mighty Chainsword is a vicious tool. Part sword, part chainsaw and deadlier than both. One swift slash can eviscerate a human foe, but tougher enemies require a more concerted effort. By revving the chainsword’s trigger you can use the teeth to chew through armour, flesh and bone. Beware though, as dangerous as this weapon is, getting up close and personal with your foes can be a gamble. Tougher targets may shrug off your blows and even parry your strikes. Be sure to soften them up first with your other stalwart…

The most recognisable weapon in Warhammer 40,000 universe and the game’s namesake. The Boltgun fires mass-reactive bolts (not bullets) which explode not once, not twice but three times.
