/r/Doom Subreddit — Help with Doom Eternal – From /r/Doom
Go to Source
With the upcoming release of TDA I decided to replay Doom 2016 (one of my favourite games of all time) and Doom Eternal (a game I never originally completed). I once again loved Doom 2016 and as soon as I finished went straight to Doom Eternal, whilst I’m enjoying Eternal alot more this time around I don’t seem to be able to find the smoothest options for aiming/camera movement. Doom 2016 felt so smooth when it came to moving the crosshair around as you fight enemies on the move, whilst with Eternal it feels either too stiff or too erratic. Has anyone else encounted this, specifically on a PS5 controller, and recommends camera settings/sensitivity that matches 2016’s base settings feel. (Never toyed with 2016 settings, played as is and felt great).
I love the fact I’m enjoying eternal game play more this time around but the camera movements are taking away from the high intensity combat levels.
