Slight correction on ZONE3’s text file: it looks like it actually went through a Mac at some point. Classic MacOS uses carriage returns (ASCII character 0xD, or 13, or control code "^M") as line breaks, and the "TEXTttxt" headers in the file indicate a text resource fork.
Given that DEU 5.1 was never directly released for that platform (it would have been called either "MacDEU" or "Demon") my guess is that someone probably opened the text file up in SimpleText and resaved it before it was ultimately uploaded to wherever WizardWorks picked it up.
